Private Session Etiquette

In-Studio

  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time to park, settle in, and sign in before your session begins.
  • Doors will be locked at the session start time, and drapes will be drawn to create a calm, private space for focused work.
  • Bring your own mat and props if you prefer, or use studio-provided equipment (mats, blocks, straps, bands, and weights).
  • Remove shoes before entering the studio floor.
  • Dress comfortably in layers to adapt to indoor climate shifts.
  • Silence your phone and minimize distractions to maintain a peaceful environment.
  • Inform your instructor of any physical concerns, new injuries, or areas of discomfort before we begin.
  • Respect the space as a private, healing container designed just for you.

In-Home

  • Have your space ready at least 5 minutes before start time — clear, quiet, and open enough to accommodate a full yoga mat (approx. 6 ft x 3 ft).
  • Dress in layered, comfortable clothing suitable for gentle to moderate movement.
  • Silence phones and reduce external noise for focused presence.
  • Keep pets and small children in another room to avoid distractions.
  • Let your instructor know whether you have your own props or need anything brought for the session.
  • Communicate clearly about how you’re feeling, any discomfort, and your intentions for the session.

Studio FAQ

Private sessions are one-on-one yoga experiences personalized for your goals, needs, and preferences. Sessions are available in-studio or in your own home. You’ll complete an intake form beforehand so we understand your health background, movement goals, and any injuries or limitations.

Your first session begins with a brief intake and movement assessment. From there, we’ll explore targeted muscle activation techniques and build a practice that supports your goals — whether that’s pain relief, strength, mobility, or nervous system reset. You’ll leave feeling more connected, stable, and supported in your body.

You may choose a 60-minute or 90-minute session depending on your needs and goals. We’ll work with you to find the right rhythm and format.

Anyone seeking more personalized attention or support. These sessions are great for:

  • Beginners
  • Those recovering from injury or pain.
  • Students with specific goals or physical limitations.
  • Busy professionals needing flexibility.
  • Anyone craving deep, focused movement and nervous system reset.

Private sessions are fully personalized. While group classes follow a set structure, a private session is tailored to your unique body, goals, and challenges. We may focus on muscle activation, functional movement, breathwork, guided meditation, or all of the above — depending on what you need most that day.

Yes. Private sessions are ideal for students managing chronic pain, recovering from injury, or looking for a gentler way back into movement. All techniques used are low-impact, joint-aware, and grounded in safety. You’ll be guided every step of the way, with modifications offered throughout.

Not at all. Private sessions are perfect for beginners or anyone who feels overwhelmed in a group setting. You’ll be supported in a calm, judgment-free environment — and every movement is adapted to your comfort level.

You can bring your own yoga mat and any props you prefer (blocks, strap, etc.) or we can provide them for you. Please wear comfortable, layered clothing that allows for easy movement. If in-studio, we recommend bringing a water bottle. We also have water available in the studio fridge.

Yes, but we require 24 hours’ notice for all private session changes. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $75 late cancellation fee. For members, the session credit will be forfeited. For non-members, the fee will be charged to the card on file or applied to the account.
