tidal yoga

Don’t stretch — activate.

Tidal Yoga is a boutique studio in the heart of Siesta Key Village offering low-impact, muscle-activating movement designed to build functional strength, restore stability in your practice, and reduce pain.

Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation (AYAMA) is a proven method that works by activating the critical muscles responsible for supporting and stabilizing the body through every type of movement. When those muscles are re-engaged, your body performs at its ideal output — meaning less strain, more control, and increased endurance.

Blended with vinyasa and mindful breath, this approach creates a practice that is strong yet balanced, deeply restorative, and intelligently designed to support safe movement.

This style of movement is accessible to all levels and designed to meet you where you are — whether you’re new to yoga, dealing with strain or pain, or simply want to feel good in your body.

This studio was

built from experience.

Tidal Yoga was founded with one mission: to create a safe space for deeply intentional and mindful movement to nourish your spirit and honor your body.

Prior to obtaining my RYT-200 and certification in Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation (AYAMA), I spent decades as a dedicated student of movement immersed in everything from hot power yoga and lap swimming to strength training and stretching exercises to support the longevity of my body.

But even with that level of balanced activity, I was still dealing with pain, instability, and the distressing feeling that my body was just not working the way it should. Certain movements felt off — low back or side pain after a run, or a shoulder pinch after a swim. Over time my range of motion became limited due to associated pain, and it felt like my body was betraying me.

That’s what led me to AYAMA. Exercise does not always have to be high-intensity, heavy weights, or fast-paced flows to be an impactful workout. There is real strength in stillness. Small, intentional movements can create powerful change.

Tidal Yoga is my humble space to share that healing. It’s an invitation for those used to nonstop movement and whose flames are close to burnout to slow down, reconnect, and rebuild after letting go of what no longer serves you.
